I recently had the​ honour of photographing a wonderful family in East London who had just welcomed their long-awaited second baby. This documentary-style shoot was all about capturing the raw, authentic moments of this exciting new chapter in their lives. Big brother, full of pride and joy, was thrilled to take on his new role, showering his baby sibling with love and affection. It was clear that this moment had been eagerly anticipated, and the joy in their home was palpable from the moment I stepped in.

The session was entirely unposed, allowing both the baby and big brother to simply be themselves. I followed the natural rhythms of their day, capturing everything from quiet moments of newborn cuddles to the playful energy of a proud older brother who couldn’t wait to show off his new sibling. There were no set poses or forced interactions – just the beautiful chaos of everyday life. By letting the family guide the flow, I was able to document their genuine connection and the warmth of their bond. The result is a story that reflects the love, excitement, and tenderness of this long-awaited moment, one that they’ll be able to cherish for years to come.
