An at home newborn photo shoot, teddington

I’ll never be able to listen to London Grammar’s 'Baby it’s you', without thinking back to this beautiful newborn photo shoot. During our morning, Dan and Allison played a vinyl record of the song and it really set the tone for this super relaxed, at-home, session with their 3-week old baby boy.

From a personal point of view, this session is one of my all time newborn photo shoots. Not only do I love the photographs but the whole morning was a dream. Dan and Allison really embraced my love of capturing moments as they unfold. Like most of my clients they disliked the idea of being photographed but wanted to freeze these special moments with their newborn baby in time. My style of photographing newborns is very much led by the baby's needs and a happy baby means happy parents (and vice versa, of course!). Dan and Allison needed very little direction as they oozed cool and calm but, at times, I helped them with a few suggestions and ideas to  create these moments of love and tenderness.
