A hospital newborn photo shoot allows you to capture your baby exactly as they were in those first precious hours and days after birth. In the haze of becoming a new parent, it can be surprisingly easy to forget just how tiny your baby was when they first arrived. Babies change so quickly, even within their first few days, making these early photographs especially meaningful.
It's also an opportunity to have beautiful, natural newborn photographs of you and your baby together, as well as portraits with your partner and any older siblings. These first moments as a growing family are fleeting and deserve to be documented with care, creating timeless photographs that will become some of your most treasured family memories.

Often referred to as a Fresh 48 newborn photo shoot, these relaxed sessions typically take place within 48 hours of your baby's birth, either in your hospital room or at home, capturing the beginning of your family's story as it naturally unfolds.

With over 16 years of experience in newborn photography and more than 1,500 families photographed, I understand how important it is to capture your baby's first hours with sensitivity, care and experience.
My work has taken me into London's leading private maternity hospitals, including The Lindo Wing, The Portland Hospital, The Kensington Suite and The Westminster Suite. I've also had the privilege of photographing newborns for families from all walks of life, including royalty and people in the worlds of diplomacy, media and sport. Whatever your circumstances, my approach remains the same: personal, discreet and centred around your family.
I understand that the hours and days after birth can be emotional, exhausting and physically demanding. I work gently and unobtrusively, taking your lead and allowing plenty of time for cuddles, feeding and rest. There is no pressure to pose or feel camera-ready; my aim is to help you feel comfortable while documenting the natural connection between you and your new baby.
Many families return to me to photograph their growing children, and I feel incredibly privileged to be invited back to document these milestones. My goal is to create beautiful, timeless newborn photographs that bring you back to those first precious moments for years to come.

How does a newborn photo shoot work in the hospital room?
At your photo shoot there won't be any posing of your new arrival or you. It is a pure documentary session that captures the moment in the most honest and organic way. This is not gritty photo-journalism however, my approach to photographing new babies is very gentle, I won't interfere but observe moments as they unfold so you can remember how it really felt at the time. Things you can expect me to capture along side natural photographs of your baby are cuddles with mummy and daddy, feeding and nappy changes etc. You can find out more about my at home sessions for new babies of all ages here.
