I’m so excited to share this extended family photo shoot, where family members travelled from the US and The Netherlands to gather and spend the morning on beautiful Richmond Hill in southwest London. 

This energetic and loving family wanted to capture some special moments between the “cousins” as they don’t get to spend as much time together as they would like to. During the session the little ones were free to explore, to run wild and play on fallen tree stumps. We occasionally stopped and paused, so that they all had plenty of time to be close to one another, with lots of hugs and cuddles encouraged.

The family didn’t want too many group shots, as they were worried they would feel too forced or posed, and instead wanted me to focus on the small interactions and bonds between all the different family members. There were lot’s of “micro-moments” during this extended family photo shoot -between parents, older siblings and of course, the little ones were the stars of the show. But I also managed to capture so many moments of the whole family together – as they laughed and explored the park together.

I love that each family member got their moment during this extended family photo shoot, a chance to be in the spotlight. Especially their head of the family and Grandmother to all of these energetic little cousins who delighted in spending some time with their Grandmother.
