Congratulations, I am so excited that you are interested in choosing to document your growing family. Through my newborn sessions, I help you record your family's story beautifully and authentically, documenting all of the tiny details that can easily be lost and forgotten in a newborn haze .
As a mum, I know that those first few weeks with your precious little one seem to disappear in the blink of an eye, which is why I am so excited that you want to document this joyful time for you and your little one to reflect on in years to come. I designed this guide to help you through the process of booking your Newborn session.

I love nurturing a long lasting connection and bond with my clients, re-telling their stories for many years to come. Which is why I only take on a select number of shoots per season.
This allows me to get to the heart of your family's life experiences, and create beautiful imagery that you can share with your little one in the future. Children love to learn about themselves and others through stories which is why I strongly believe in capturing your memories with honesty and in the comfort of your home.

You value telling your baby’s story in a natural and authentic way. As well as tiny hands and wiggly toes, you want to record the in-between moments of your new baby and your whole family together (even the beautifully imperfect messy bits).

You are searching for a relaxed in-home session, where you and your family can feel calm and at ease. You want your images to feel genuine, and that your family’s story has been documented at home, instead of being posed in a studio.
You are very sentimental and want to hold onto every moment unfolding before you, before it’s gone. You want to reveal and record all the emotions you felt in these early days of bonding with your little one.
Weekday booking fee - £250
Book your relaxed, baby-led, photo shoot with me in the comfort of your own home. Your shoot date is fully flexible should you need to move it.
I will give you pre-shoot guidance with helpful advice to put you all at ease.
You will have access to an online viewing gallery with 60-90 beautifully hand-edited photographs available for you to purchase separately. See below for the full a la carte product list.

A SIMPLE PROCESS

In most cases, only your baby will know when they will arrive into the world, so the date we pencil is fully changeable. Your booking fee is required in advance to hold a space in my diary.

Before your shoot I'll give you a quick call to help break the ice and go through any questions you might have. I'll also send a shoot guide & questionnaire to make the session personal to you.
Getting to know you all

We'll make a lifetime's worth of beautiful memories at your relaxed photo session. After the shoot I will curate your gallery for you to view, this normally takes about two-three weeks.

Once your gallery is ready, choose from an a la carte range of beautiful printed & digital products. Three collections are also available should you wish to buy a selection of heirloom products.

When should I book my shoot?
FAQs
For newborn shoots, I recommend booking your session after your 20-week scan.
This may sound early but it will guarantee my availability when your baby does arrive.
When you book, we’ll pencil in a date (usually 5 - 14 days after your due date) which can be moved
if your baby is born earlier or later than expected.
If you need more time to recover or settle into life as a new family, you can move the shoot to a time that feels right. I have no age-limit for my style of newborn photography and dates are fully flexible.

How does your pricing work?

My booking fees start at £245. This covers the photo-taking time on the day and also some time in the weeks leading up to your shoot preparing: getting to know you via a consultation and ensuring space in my diary should your baby arrive earlier or later than expected. It also includes my time and artistry to create a gallery of beautiful images that tell the story of a morning in the life of your family.
The session fee does not include any of the photographs, printed or as digital copies. You have the freedom to choose from a selection of a la carte products and collections.

When is the best age to have a newborn photo shoot?
FAQs
I love photographing new babies of all ages. If you long to capture your baby while they still have that fresh "newborn look", you might want to schedule the session for 5 to 14 days after your baby's due date. At this age you can expect your baby to sleep (and feed) for a good part of the session.
If you'd rather give yourself a little more time to settle into new life as a family, then there is no need to rush things. As the weeks unfold your baby will become more alert and awake for longer periods; allowing me to capture more connection and maybe even a few smiles.

How long will the shoot last?
FAQs
Most of my newborn photo shoots last about 2 hours, and this includes any time needed to feed and change your baby. However, you won't find me watching the clock and I will only finish when I have fully captured everything we set out to.
Sometimes, if your baby is getting tired, we will pause the session for a while to allow them to fall asleep peacefully.
If you also have an older child, the shoot might take a bit longer to allow for additional family photographs.

Will you pose us and my baby?
FAQs
My style is very natural so I won't manoeuvre your baby into any specific poses. Rather, I will photograph your baby - just the way they are as I believe this is how you truly want to remember them. This approach also means you will get a much wider range of images: your baby awake or asleep in your arms, on your bed and in their nursery; as well as little details like their tiny toes.
I know most people feel a little bit camera shy but I will help you feel relaxed in-front of the camera by making authentic happy memories. You don't even have to look at the camera if you don't want to.

Will you photograph me
feeding my baby?
FAQs
Your baby may feed a few times during the session I absolutely love to capture these special, bond-building, moments whether you are nourishing your baby by breast or bottle. I also love to document fathers feeding their new babies. If you would rather me not photograph you feeding your baby please let me know at the time.

Booking your shoot is really simple, just let me know your preferred dates and I can check my availability. Once we have a date in the diary I will send you a booking form for you to pay the session fee. I'll send you a questionnaire so I can plan the perfect shoot for your family and we'll chat through any special ideas you have too.
