This at-home newborn photo session took place in London when this little girl was 11-weeks old. Having been born early, I took extra care that the photo shoot felt very gentle and relaxed. Taking lots of cues from mum, dad and baby (and let’s not forget their very inquisitive pug and cat), I was able to capture a typical day in this loving family’s home. Having waited a little longer for their newborn photo shoot, they had a bit more time to settle into parenthood, and for the rest of the fur family to adjust and get comfortable around their adorable baby girl.

As you will see there are still a couple of sleepy moments (how precious is the image of her taking a great big yawns). But there are also lovely images where she is very engaged with everyone, smiling and interacting during her newborn photo shoot.

I hope this session reminds you that your baby isn’t too old for a newborn photo shoot. Take all the time you need so that your photo shoot can feel like a wonderful relaxing experience.
