Every newborn photo shoot that I do is special, but this particular session brought back some personal memories for me. Like my own baby girl (who’s not quite a baby anymore), this little one was born quite a few weeks early. Luckily, I like to keep plenty of flexibility in my diary just in case my newborn customers have other ideas about their estimated due dates!
It was so lovely to spend time with the new family at their home in Putney, capturing these special moments as they unfolded – cuddles with mummy and daddy, wide yawns and deep milk-induced sleeps.
If you are interested in booking a newborn photo shoot the best time to book is just after your 20-week scan. I can then ensure I leave enough room in my diary to move things around if your baby arrives earlier, or later, than expected. Most of the newborns I photographs are between 6 and 12 days of age, but because I prefer to capture real moments and rarely pose – newborn sessions can take place up to 9 weeks of age.
