I count myself as being very blessed to live in Richmond upon Thames – London’s most beautiful borough. I moved here almost 15 years ago, and it has been the place I call “home” ever since. We started in Richmond, right at the bottom of the hill, close to the River Thames and then moved to St Margarets when my boyfriend (at the time) and I bought our first home together. After a proposal in Richmond Park and the birth of our daughter, we moved up the road to Teddington – where the three of us still live.
Richmond Hill remains one of my absolute favourite places to spend time. Year round, as the seasons change the colour of the horizon, the view from terrace is always beautiful. No wonder it has captured the imaginations of so many artists and poets.
This family photo shoot took place in early summer and was probably one of the hottest days of the year. We had a lovely time though – playing in the Terrace Gardens and eating ice cream along the river. It was so lovely to spend time with this fellow Richmond family, and to capture them in a place that means the world to us all, was a real joy.
