When I was asked by the team at Great Ormond Street Hospital, if I would take some photographs for their Christmas gift catalogue, I jumped at the chance – how could I not? The hospital is known across the globe for its ground-breaking research, and for the for the care it provides its young patients and their families. It meant a lot to me to be able to contribute something, especially as I have friends and clients alike, who have received treatment from the hospital.
Every year, Great Ormond Street Hospital needs to raise 50 million to fund its work and, as 100% of the profits from the Christmas gift catalogue go to the hospital, by choosing to buy its Christmas cards and gifts, you are helping many of the ill children it cares for to get better and get home.
The real star of the shoot was 8 year old Jessy, an ex-patient of Great Ormond Street and also designer of one of the colourful Christmas cards. You can read more about Jessy’s story and the amazing work the hospital does here.
