What could be better than combining my two passions – capturing fun childhood moments and eating cake? Nothing much that’s for sure. When I was asked to photograph the delicious offerings from Weybridge-based bakery, Miss Olivia, I jumped at the chance.
Susan, who set up Miss Olivia, was inspired by a love of old-fashioned home baking, children’s parties and a desire to cater to her daughter’s (Miss Olivia herself) food allergies. Of course, Olivia’s little brother also had to get in on the action and did a fine job devouring the fun alien cake pops.
This was one of the most fun shoots I’ve done (for obvious reasons). I loved Susan’s cone cakes so much we had them at my own daughter’s 2nd birthday party which was quite an ice-cream-tastic party indeed! Mmm…
