This relaxed maternity & family photo shoot took place at my client's home in Chelsea in London. Planning a maternity photo shoot for a second baby is a wonderful way to create a moment of pause; as one chapter in life ends and another begins.

During my pregnancy sessions, I hold space for all the emotions felt during this special time, and there is something so special about doing a maternity shoot for a second baby. Getting to document the awe and wonder in your first born's eyes as they see their baby brother or sister grow in your belly.

I loved that I got to spend a pocket of time during this family photo shoot with the mother alone. It really allowed space for her to savour this moment as she eagerly awaited the arrival of her second baby.

And how the energy completely shifted as her son returned - and filled the house with a whirlwind of fun and cheerfulness.

The family got to spend some quality time together during their photo shoot, laughing, tickling and cuddling as they savoured these fleeting moments before their family of three became a family of four.
